Ways to Give

Online

Using our secure, online giving page you are able to conveniently make a gift, pledge payment, or set up a recurring online gift.

GIVE NOW

You may also use our crowdfunding site to support student scholarships or one of the many innovative, student-focused initiatives.

By Mail

You can make your gift to UMBC through the mail using a check made payable to the UMBC Foundation. Please indicate the fund you wish to support in the memo line and mail your check to:

UMBC Foundation
1000 Hilltop Circle
Baltimore, MD 21250

Donor Advised Funds

A donor advised fund (DAF), which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to the UMBC Foundation and other qualified charities. You can recommend a grant or recurring grants now to make an immediate impact or use your fund as a tool for future charitable gifts. Read more about donor advised funds here.

Stocks & Securities

Do you receive stock benefits from your employer? The gift of appreciated stock can be beneficial to both you and UMBC. You may be eligible to take a charitable deduction for the market value of the securities, and could potentially benefit by avoiding capital gains tax and reducing your estate tax. If you are interested in making a stock gift, please reach out to Alex Ganzermiller (alexg@umbc.edu).

Planned Giving

Planned gifts can be a significant benefit to you, your family, and UMBC. Bequests, charitable gift annuities, and charitable remainder trusts offer donors a variety of ways to support the university. For more information, visit our Planned Giving website.

Matching Gifts

If you or your spouse works for one of more than 900 employers who match contributions to higher education, your gift dollars may be doubled or tripled. To see if your company participates, search here or ask your human resources department. If you have questions about matching gifts, please contact Poulomi Banerjee, assistant director of Annual Giving, at 410-455-1361 or via e-mail at poulomib22@umbc.edu.
